Continuing on from the collection of varied works for the guitar found in the first book of this series. Volume 2 is an intermediate-level anthology of 52 carefully selected pieces. The aim of the program is to offer guitarists an engaging repertoire of works as well as an accurate guide to developing their guitar technique, expression, musicality, musicianship, and knowledge of history.
There are study notes accompanyng each piece of music that give a broad range of information on style and technique. The pieces are graded in difficulty and provide a wide panorama of musical awareness. The Glossary has been expanded to help in the understanding of the terms and concepts.
Many well-known works are included in the collection as well as a number of newly discovered pieces, never before published. The music and the recording can be used as a supplement to any approach to learning the guitar.
